Baptism
You must be a registered member of the parish and must attend the two Baptism Preparation sessions, preferably before your baby is born. Please call the parish office for the dates of these sessions as well as for the designated Baptism weekends.
First Reconciliation/First Communion:
Children who are in the second grade and have faithfully attended CCD the previous two years are eligible for this class. It takes place during the regular CCD time after the Sunday morning Mass. There is a lot of material that is covered during this year. Parental involvement is a MUST. First Reconciliation is usually scheduled at the end of January. First Holy Communion is usually scheduled the first weekend in June.
Confirmation:
A Confirmation class is formed every three years and is a year-long process. The classes are in addition to the regular Sunday morning CCD classes. In order to be admitted into the Confirmation class, all candidates must have faithfully attended CCD classes the two years previous. Each candidate is individually evaluated prior to receiving the sacrament. The evaluation consists of class participation, service projects, completion of the notebook and an interview with the pastor.
Marriage
Marriage preparation is an important part of planning a wedding, so please contact the parish office (304-872-2554) at least six months prior to your wedding and definitely before finalizing the date and time of your wedding.
